Pick It Up has four members,
Jim VanHook; acoustic guitar and vocal, Pat McKernan; Mandolin, tin whistle, harmonica and vocals, Darren Childers; lead guitar and vocals, Dennis Childers; ukulele bass and vocals. About five years ago Jim and Darren got together to simply play some familiar folky/Americana songs they enjoyed. Then Pat got interested and added some color to the sound with his collection of instruments. And recently, Darren’s brother Dennis joined up to fill out the sound with his bass guitar. All four take their turn singing songs and admit that they really enjoy playing together! |
