Filthy Rags is an expression of love, along with incredible music that began in a small apartment, Fall of 2014 with songs that come from a place of hope.
Filthy Rags band is so much more than music or entertainment. It is a testimony to the profound, overwhelming, redemptive love of a God most humans have trouble understanding. Harry and Melissa Becker make up the group Filthy Rags. They are a married couple who write music, lead worship, give words of knowledge, and use it all as a tool to bring hope to every life they encounter not only through the performance but also with a heart for the people that come to the events they play, or the worship services they lead in an attempt to speak life into every dead or wounded area of those they get the privilege to engage with on a personal level. They believe their job is to show love, in every environment they are invited to play in that will result in a life changing encounter with The One they serve. Their most recent events were with The Extreme Tour, a volunteer non-profit, traveling five months across the US coast to coast sharing a story of hope and love with counter culture youth, the homeless, and the forgotten in skate parks and other outdoor public spaces. For several years they worked as staff for this tour, putting them in a position to be full time missionaries and fully reliant on God for all their needs. They would LOVE nothing more than to share their story and their music with your youth group, recovery agency, and any worship services. Their only desire is to see people come to know that God is available to them and even more importantly, desires them and that He doesn’t expect them to get warm before they come to the fire, to never discount themselves. That NO ONE is too far gone. That all OUR Righteousness is Filthy Rags, (Isaiah 64:6),but His is redemptive. |
